MARS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit PPA Affiliate School, offering five days of intense training in photography, in an intimate, boutique environment.
Our goal is to provide students with an outstanding experience in education and friendship, where small class size provides relatively personal instruction.
The overall MARS experience is unique, and the end result is unlike any other event. At MARS, you'll learn in an environment of other photographers just as passionate as you, who want to take their image-making and business skills to the next level. And the friendly atmosphere allows everyone to feel unintimidated to ask questions. The experience gained at MARS will allow you to take what you've learned and implement techniques and ideas into your own practices.
For the first time, the school will be held in Dewey Beach, Delaware, a seaside resort with miles of beautiful beaches, and other local photo-ops just waiting to happen. And since Dewey Beach is on a barrier island only 2 blocks wide, you get the rare opportunity to photograph both sunrise and sunset (conditions permitting) without having to go far! To add to the adventure, Rehoboth Beach and Boardwalk, historic Lewes, and the 5000 acre Cape Henlopen State Park, are only minutes away.
And for the ultimate adventure, an hour excursion south provides the rare opportunity to photograph the wild horses of Assateague Island!
Students and instructors will stay at the full-service Hyatt Place. This modern and new property is located right on Rehoboth Bay, and only steps from the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. The atmosphere is contemporary, casual, comfortable and friendly, and promotes making new friends and networking with others. Students come from all over the country, and each person brings their interests and backgrounds to create an eclectic group of like-minded individuals.
Classes are also held in the hotel and have limited enrollment, so you are assured an exceptional learning experience at this price. Talking one-on-one with your instructor, and getting to know your classmates, is incomparable.
