Shootout Winners
Thanks to the many talented photographers attending MARS, who participated and contributed hundreds of images for this years “Shootout”, even better than ever with 3 great sponsors and multiple opportunities to win!
All images were created between 5 PM, Sunday, May 4, and Noon on Wednesday, May 7.
The judges had a tough time selecting the best in each category, so congratulations to all the winners!
for the “CANON PRINT COMP“
Entries were judged on print quality (printed on Canon printer at the school), judged by Canon reps, and five winners were announced and shown at the Wrap Party on Thursday. Winners were awarded $100 in CASH.
for the “MARS CHALLENGE“
Anonymous entries in three categories (Portrait, Scenic, & Illustrative/Art) were rated by a panel of judges. Winners were announced and shown at the Wrap Party on Thursday, and awarded a commemorative blue ribbon, $50 in CASH, and a $200 gift certificate to Zno.
for the “SCAVENGER HUNT“
Anonymous entries were rated based on the total number of entries, and image fidelity to the ‘clues’. Winners were announced and shown at the Wrap Party on Thursday and awarded a prize.
for the “TAMRON THROWDOWN“
Entries were created using a TAMRON lens, within the same time period, and judged by TAMRON reps. Their winning choice was awarded a new TAMRON lens.
And with so many great images, Tamron added TWO additional awards for honorable mention, receiving $200 and $100 respectively in credit towards a Tamron purchase
Winning images will also be published here on the MARS website for an entire year, and potentially featured on the cover of next years convention program!
