IMPORTANT NOTE – IF you are flying in from out of town and plan on using the MARS transportation service to and from the airport, you will not arrive at the hotel in time for these programs, as the shuttle tries to leave the airport by 2 pm to arrive at the hotel by 4 pm.
HOWEVER
If you want to arrive a day early (Saturday), so you’re prepared for first thing on Sunday, and rent a car or ride-share to the hotel, you can book a “shoulder date”, before and/or after the school-week.

Part 1 – the Principles
with CHRISTINE CHAMBERS, M.Photog., CPP
FREE to all REGISTERED STUDENTS ($59 to non-students)
Are you new to using off-camera flash? Are you confused by trying to calculate lighting ratios? Christine will take you through a simplified, non-technical way to incorporate flash and get the exposure correct. She will take the guessing game out of it and show you a method for being able to get the exposure right regardless of the environment you are working with. Learn how to use a simple gray card both indoors and outdoors in your portrait sessions.

Christine has operated her photography business since 2016 and provides photography education since 2021. She teaches in both larger seminars and one-on-one specializing in off-camera flash. She is currently a Master of Photography and Certified Professional Photographer with PPA and serves as on the PPA Council and the PPAM board as VP of Technology. In this second module, you’ll be able to take what you’ve learned in the first session, and apply it in real life, through hands-on shooting(s) inside and out (weather permitting). The best way to learn is by doing and this afternoon session will allow you to do just that.
