ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Scott has been making art since he was a kid — pen and ink, markers, acrylics. That hands-on foundation is probably why he’s so obsessed with texture and the way a good image tells a story without needing a caption.
Photography pulled him in eventually, and he found his lane in boudoir and bodypainting — work that lives at the intersection of intimacy and visual spectacle. He also shoots corporate headshots, product catalog work, and magazine assignments, which keeps him sharp and versatile. But some of his favorite projects are the weird commissions that don’t fit any category — the ones where a client just says “here’s a crazy idea” and trusts him to figure it out. Teaching workshops scratches a completely different itch. There’s something genuinely satisfying about watching someone finally “get” a technique they’ve been struggling with.
About three years ago, his path took an unexpected turn. He joined Stability.ai — not as a user of their tools, but as someone helping build them. That shift changed how he thought about everything. The technology running inside Adobe, Krea, Canva — he’s had his hands in that work. Going from artist to contributor on tools used by millions of other artists is a strange and humbling thing to sit with.
What he cares about now is practical impact. AI gets talked about in a lot of vague, hype-y ways, and he wants to cut through that. For creators and businesses, the real opportunity isn’t just making prettier images faster — it’s rethinking how you work altogether. Stronger workflows, smarter systems, room to actually grow. ABOUT THE CLASS
For the past three years, Scott has been the Lead QA at Stability AI, the company that essentially started the text-to-image revolution. That means he’s seen this technology from the inside, and he’s going to share things you genuinely won’t hear anywhere else.
This is an intermediate program, so he’s skipping the fluff. We’ll start with how AI actually works, because he’s watched too many smart people make bad decisions simply because nobody explained the fundamentals clearly. From there, we’ll dig into the tools: what’s out there, what’s worth your time, and how to go deep on the ones that matter. That includes large language models like ChatGPT and Claude, not the surface-level stuff, but how to actually use them like a pro.
A big chunk of this course goes into AI-assisted compositing. You’ll need Photoshop and a solid handle on the basics, this isn’t the place to learn what layers are. We’ll also get into retouching, composition, and copyright, because the real goal here is practical: open up your fine-art work and meaningfully grow your wall art sales.
