Tony Corbell

Tony Corbell, an Oklahoma based photographer, is an industry legend. This is a rare opportunity to study for an entire week with this master of light.

Understanding and controlling light quality is at the core of all of Tony's workshops. Attendees will learn how to see a unique perspective and not be afraid to push the limits of their experience and talents. Corbell will discuss all types of lighting and its tools in depth. Lighting tools include portable flash, studio strobes, sunlight and ambient light. Lighting applications include additive, subtractive, reflective and transmission. Each combination of tool and application will be shown and discussed in detail.

Tony will discuss the importance of control in the digital capture and how a few seconds of extra time spent at time of capture can save hours in post-production. Tony always spends time illustrating Light Quality as well as Light Quantity and how Light Direction plays a significant role in the resulting mood of an image. Tony has been teaching lighting concepts, theories, and techniques for over twenty-five years and his week-long workshops on the topic always fill to capacity. In the past few years alone, Tony spoke to over 60,000 photographers worldwide on the topic of light control. In 2016 he released two new books on location and studio lighting control called "Light and Shadow" from publisher Amherst Media.
